Adam Rosales extends Padres’ home run streak to 25 games

In the third inning of Wednesday afternoon’s Padres at Blue Jays game, third baseman Adam Rosales took R.A. Dickey deep to left-center field at Rogers Centre, extending the Padres’ home run streak to 25 games. The streak is tied for second all-time in Major League Baseball history, and puts them just two behind tying the all-time record set by the 2002 Texas Rangers.

The other three teams to have homered in 25 straight games are the 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers, the 1998 Atlanta Braves, and the 1941 New York Yankees.

Also of note in Wednesday’s game, rookie outfielder Alex Dickerson homered for the fourth straight game, becoming the first San Diego rookie in history to accomplish the feat.
