Los Angeles – Mixed martial arts fans receive an early holiday present compliments of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and FOX Sports, as the FOX broadcast network airs UFC 206 SPECIAL PRESENTATION on Saturday, Dec. 24 (8:00 PM ET/PT). Saturday’s presentation is the first time ever for a fight card to re-air on broadcast television just two weeks after its live premiere.
UFC 206 SPECIAL PRESENTATION revisits the spectacular fights at UFC 206, headlined by Max Holloway and Anthony Pettis battling for the interim featherweight championship, plus a clash of veteran action heroes Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Matt “The Immortal” Brown. Featherweights Cub Swanson and Dooho Choi go head-to-head in what will be one of the top candidates for Fight of the Year, while “Groovy” Lando Vanatta faces kickboxer John Makdessi with spectacular results.
This is the second consecutive week of UFC fights on the FOX broadcast network. On Saturday, Dec. 17, FOX UFC FIGHT NIGHT: VANZANT VS. WATERSON tallied an impressive 3,178,000 viewers, FOX’s most-watched UFC event since April of 2013 (3,742,000). The show peaked with a sizable 4,800,000 viewers from 10:00-10:15 PM ET during the main event portion of the telecast.
