FOX Sports to Simulcast FIFA World Cup™ Match Portugal vs. Spain on Times Square’s ‘Mega-Zilla’

FOX Sports is simulcasting Friday’s highly anticipated Portugal vs. Spain FIFA World Cup™ match in one of the world’s most highly trafficked locations — New York’s Times Square.

The Group Stage match, scheduled to air at 2:00 PM ET on the FOX broadcast network, will be shown on Silvercast’s high-definition screen known as “Mega-Zilla” — a 78-foot by 330-foot monster, thought to be the largest TV screen in the world — located between 45th and 46th Street on Broadway in Manhattan, using the feed from local FOX 5 NY.

Spain, which fired manager Julen Lopetegui just yesterday, faces a stiff Group Stage match against Cristiano Ronaldo and European champion Portugal, in a contest that will help set the tone in Group B.

FOX Sports’ lead play-by-play announcer John Strong and lead game analyst Stu Holden make their 2018 FIFA World Cup™ debut calling the match.
