Charlotte, NC – NASCAR heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend for the second race of the season and a unique doubleheader on Saturday, with FOX Sports set to offer 23.5 hours of live action from the 1.5-mile oval. Below are programming information and quotes from FOX NASCAR analysts Larry McReynolds, Darrell Waltrip and Regan Smith, plus NASCAR RACE HUB driver analyst Kevin Harvick, on the week’s storylines and the weekend ahead.

NASCAR RACE HUB PROGRAMMING NOTE: On tonight’s NASCAR RACE HUB (6:00 PM ET on FS1), Daytona 500 champions Austin Dillon, Richard Childress, crew chief Justin Alexander, RCR VP of Competition Andy Petree and Dillon’s spotter, Andy Houston, are in the studio. Also joining the RCR team is Jordan Wade, the young fan who gave Dillon the “lucky penny” that Dillon glued to his No. 3 Chevrolet’s dashboard prior to the start of the DAYTONA 500. In addition, NASCAR RACE HUB goes behind-the-scenes of RCR’s victory lunch at the Welcome, N.C. race shop on Wednesday, capturing the moment Wade surprised Dillon at the event.

FOX NASCAR QUOTES

How far can the momentum of Bubba Wallace’s second-place finish in the Daytona 500 carry him?
“Right now they need sponsorship to make the season, and when you look at what they did in the Daytona 500, they are well on their way to doing that but they have to allow the driver to focus on what he needs to focus on now and not wear him out.”
–Kevin Harvick on FS1’s NASCAR RACE HUB

What will you be watching for this weekend at Atlanta?
“I think we could see an excessive number of speeding penalties with teams putting pressure on the driver to get in and get out of the pits and help them out with track position.”
–Darrell Waltrip

“If there’s any race that a driver finds out right out of the box if he’s in shape or not, it’s Atlanta. You’re up on the wheel, sawing on it all day long, and it’s exhausting. There will be some tired drivers on Sunday.”
–Regan Smith

Once a driver wins a race and qualifies for the playoffs, how does he manage the remainder of the season?
“When we won our Daytona 500 (in 2007), we didn’t win another points-paying race for the whole year. Winning the Daytona 500 can make your whole year. It almost doesn’t matter what you do the rest of the year. You obviously want to go out and win and continue the momentum you have, but even if you don’t, you still are the Daytona 500 champion for that year.”
–Kevin Harvick on FS1’s NASCAR RACE HUB

“I’ve seen both ends of the spectrum. In 1992, when we won with Davey (Allison) and the No. 28 car, it was like we could do no wrong. We were winning and getting top-fives every single week. We won it in 1998 with Dale Earnhardt in the No. 3 car, we looked like we didn’t even know how to load the car in the hauler the next week.”
–Larry McReynolds

What do you think of Andy Petree’s contributions as the new VP of Competition at RCR?
“One man does not carry a magic wand, but I really believe Andy is going to make a difference at Richard Childress Racing. Even before the Daytona 500 win, I think we started seeing it at the end of last season when he was doing some consulting work for RCR.”
–Larry McReynolds
