Megan Olivi Makes Host Debut on FOX Sports Desk with Analysts Former Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans and Retired Contender Kenny Florian

LOS ANGELES, CA – Today, FOX Sports announces that blow-by-blow announcer Brendan Fitzgerald (@BrendanFitzTV) makes his FS1 debut with analyst and UFC lightweight contender Paul Felder (@FelderPaul) to call UFC FIGHT NIGHT: SWANSON VS. ORGEGA live Octagon-side from Fresno, Calif., on Saturday, Dec. 9. Laura Sanko (@laura_sanko) adds reports and interviews fighters on-site. Victor Davila (@mastervic10) and Brandon Moreno (@theassassinbaby) have the call in Spanish on FOX Deportes.

Making her hosting debut on the FOX Sports desk in the Los Angeles studio is Megan Olivi (@MeganOlivi), who joins analysts, Rashad Evans (@SugaRashadEvans), former light heavyweight champion, and retired contender Kenny Florian (@kennyflorian).

Fireworks are expected in the five-round main event Saturday night, as perennial featherweight contender and No. 4-ranked Cub Swanson (25-7) puts his four-fight win streak on the line against undefeated, No. 6-ranked featherweight Brian Ortega (12-0, 1NC). Palm Springs’ Swanson has his sights on handing Los Angeles’ Ortega, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt with an evolving striking game, his first loss.

FOX UFC analyst Michael Bisping believes Swanson wants to earn a title shot with this fight. “Swanson is an angry man,” Bisping said. “He feels like he should have been fighting for the title at UFC 218. Expect the best version of Cub Swanson we’ve ever seen. Think back to his fight with DooHo Choi – that was an instant classic and I can’t wait for this one.” Watch the preview from Saturday’s FS1 UFC 218 POSTFIGHT SHOW here.

FS1’s UFC programming starts on Wednesday, Dec. 6 with UFC TONIGHT airing at a special time, 6:00 PM ET, with host Florian and guest host Bisping interviewing both Swanson and Ortega about their headlining bout. On Friday, Dec. 8 (6:00 PM ET), the FS1 UFC WEIGH-IN SHOW begins with Olivi, Florian and Evans in studio discussing the fighters, while Sanko reports onsite. The same crew kicks off Saturday’s programming at 7:00 PM ET with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT PREFIGHT SHOW, previewing the evening’s fights.

The two-hour UFC FIGHT NIGHT PRELIMS begin at 8:00 PM ET on FS1 and FOX Deportes with four exciting bouts. The No. 10-ranked bantamweight Alexis Davis (18-7) and No. 11 Liz Carmouche (10-5) move to 125 pounds for a flyweight bout. Bantamweight Luke Sanders (11-1) faces Andre Soukhamthath (11-5). Carls John de Tomas (8-1) and “Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series” contract winner Alex Perez (18-4) square off in a flyweight battle. Frankie Saenz (11-5) and Merab Dvalishvili (7-2) open the PRELIMS with another bantamweight bout.

The three-hour main card begins on FS1 and FOX Deportes at 10:00 PM ET and features five more action-packed bouts. No. 15-ranked featherweight Jason Knight (20-3) and Gabriel Benitez (19-7) face off. No. 7-ranked bantamweight Marlon Moraes (19-5-1) and No. 8 Aljamain Sterling (14-2) lock horns, while Scott Holtzman (10-2) takes on Darrell Horcher (13-2) in a lightweight battle. Middleweights Eryk Anders (9-0) and Markus Perez (9-0) fight, while Albert Morales (7-2-1) and “Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series” contract winner Benito Lopez (8-0) open the main card with a bantamweight scrap.

The action wraps up immediately following the main event with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT POSTFIGHT SHOW, where Olivi, Evans and Florian recap the evening.
