FOX Sports to Debut Ref Cam as MLS All-Stars Battle Real Madrid
Studio and Match Coverage Live From Soldier Field

LOS ANGELES, CA – FOX Sports features multi-platform coverage of the 2017 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target, as U.S. MNT stars Tim Howard and Michael Bradley and global soccer icons Kaka, David Villa and Bastian Schweinsteiger lead the MLS All-Stars against 12-time UEFA Champions League title winners Real Madrid and a lineup expected to feature Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos. Live coverage from Soldier Field in Chicago begins Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 8:30 PM ET on FS1.

Rob Stone hosts pregame, halftime and postgame studio coverage from a field-level set at Chicago’s Soldier Field alongside former MLS stars Alexi Lalas, Eric Wynalda and Stu Holden, beginning at 8:30 PM ET. Once the action begins on the field, lead soccer play-by-play announcer John Strong calls the match alongside former Columbus Crew goalie Brad Friedel, with Katie Witham reporting from the sideline. Accomplished multilingual journalist and two-time Ballon D’Or host Kate Abdo serves as special correspondent covering Real Madrid.

FOX Soccer’s Facebook Live show “The Rec League,” hosted by Holden and Rachel Bonnetta, kicks off MLS All-Star Game coverage with a 30-minute preview show on Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 10:30 AM ET live from Soldier Field. On match day, digital coverage for the league’s 22nd All-Star Game begins at 8:00 PM ET with a special MLS edition of “FOX Soccer Live” hosted by Bonnetta.
