Gooden and Hardy Call Fights from Glasgow, Scotland

LOS ANGELES, CA – FOX Sports announces today that No. 6-ranked UFC strawweight Michelle Waterson (@karatehottiemma) joins middleweight champion Michael Bisping (@Bisping) and retired contender Kenny Florian (@KennyFlorian) as analysts on the FOX Sports desk alongside host Karyn Bryant (@KarynBryant) for FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: NELSON VS. PONZINIBBIO on Sunday, July 16.

Former welterweight contender Dan Hardy (@danhardymma) joins blow-by-blow announcer John Gooden (@JohnGoodenUK) to call the fights live from Glasglow, Scotland, while reporter Heidi Androl (@HeidiAndrol) interviews fighters on-site. UFC bantamweight Marlon “Chito” Vera (@chitoveraUFC) and Victor Davila (@mastervic10) call the Spanish language telecast on FOX Deportes.

After earning his last five victories by submission, No. 8-ranked welterweight Gunnar Nelson (16-2-1) seeks another spectacular finish against surging No. 14 Santiago Ponzinibbio (24-3) in the main event of FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: NELSON VS. PONZINIBBIO. Hard-hitting Argentinean Ponzinibbio has won four in a row and looks to move up the welterweight rankings with a victory over Iceland’s Nelson.

The three-hour main card begins Sunday on FS1 and FOX Deportes at 3:00 PM ET and features five more exciting fights. No. 8-ranked strawweight Joanne Calderwood (11-2) fights No. 14 Cynthia Calvillo (5-0), while lightweights Stevie Ray (21-6) and Paul Felder (13-3) square off. Middleweights Jack Marshman (21-6) and Ryan Janes (9-2) go to battle. Light heavyweight Khalil Rountree Jr. (6-2) fights Paul Craig (9-1), while James Mulheron (11-1) and Justin Willis (4-1) open the main card with a heavyweight bout.

The two-hour UFC FIGHT NIGHT PRELIMS are on FS1 and FOX Deportes Sunday at 1:00 PM ET, with four bouts. Welterweights Danny Roberts (13-2) and Bobby Nash (8-2) collide. No. 14-ranked flyweight Alexandre Pantoja (17-2) takes on Neil Seery (16-12), while Charlie Ward (3-2) fights Galore Bofando (4-2) in a welterweight tilt. Danny Henry (10-2) and Daniel Teymur (6-0) open the PRELIMS with a lightweight bout.

Sunday’s coverage begins on FS2 at 12:00 PM ET with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT PREFIGHT SHOW, featuring Bryant, Bisping, Florian, Waterson and Androl. The action wraps up after immediately following the main event with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT POSTFIGHT SHOW. The UFC WEIGH-IN SHOW takes place on Saturday, July 15 (12:00 PM ET) on FS2 with the same studio crew.
