Los Angeles – Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez joins FOX Deportes as a game analyst for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 11 (7:00 PM ET). Rodriguez makes his FOX Deportes debut alongside play-by-play announcer Ronaldo Nichols. The announcement was made today by Orlando Silver, Vice President of Production, FOX Deportes.
“We are delighted to have Pudge, one of MLB’s greatest all-around catchers, join us for our 20th All-Star Game presentation,” said Silver. “He brings invaluable knowledge and experience to our broadcast booth, making the telecast an unforgettable experience for viewers.”
A 14-time All-Star, 13-time Gold Glove Award winner and Class of 2017 Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, Rodriguez’s illustrious career spans more than 21 years behind the plate, setting the record for games caught with 2,427. Rodriguez began his MLB tenure with the Texas Rangers in 1991 and went on to play for the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, Florida Marlins, Houston Astros and Washington Nationals, winning a championship with the Marlins in 2003.

The American League Most Valuable Player with Texas in 1999, Rodriguez owns a lifetime .296 batting average, 2,844 base hits, 311 home runs, gunning down 661 would-be based stealers.
