BIG3 Founder and Platinum-Selling Artist Ice Cube Returns to Preview the BIG3’s Upcoming Season
Three-Time Grammy Award Winner and Oakland Native M.C. Hammer Shows His Support for the Golden State Warriors

NEW YORK, NY – Ice Cube and M.C. Hammer are making some noise in the heart of Oakland’s famous Jack London Square, but not necessarily in the way you would expect. The notable music figures appeared on SKIP AND SHANNON: UNDISPUTED to break down Game 1 of the NBA Finals and give their predictions for the rest of the series. Ice Cube offered viewers a taste of what’s to come when the BIG3 debuts on FS1 on Monday, June 26 at 8:00 PM ET.

Ice Cube thinks Golden State should stay on their toes despite their win in Game 1:

“It reminds me of last year a little bit. Everybody’s got to hold their horses, come back in Game 2, and ball out. Don’t get too comfortable. Last year, the Warriors were up 3-1, and the Cavs came back. So, I wouldn’t feel too comfortable at all this year… Warriors first game, they want revenge, so they were out for blood.”

M.C. Hammer reaffirms that his Golden State Warriors will be victorious:

“I was very impressed, but it was up to expectation. The Warriors are a team to be reckoned with. No matter which way you twist it, when you’ve got to get out there and play the Warriors, it gets real – real quick. You start saying things like you heard LeBron say, ‘What’s the problem?’ [It’s] KD. It’s not going to be a long narrative. You’re going to try and figure out this man running up and down the court, not just on offense, but playing defense with tenacity.”

Ice Cube believes people are going to be impressed with what BIG3 has to offer:

“I feel great. The momentum is picking up. Fans are starting to get excited so it’s great to be at this point and on the cusp of a new league. And it’s going to be some great basketball, that’s what I can’t wait for people to see. Everybody’s got preconceived notions but when they see the actual basketball, they’re going to be very impressed.”

Special editions of SKIP AND SHANNON: UNDISPUTED continue next week live from Cleveland at Gateway Plaza, just outside the Cavs’ Quicken Loans Arena, airing Tuesday, June 6 through Friday, June 9 beginning at 9:30 AM ET.
