BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament Celebrates 35 Years at Madison Square Garden; Championship Game Returns to FOX
FS1 Televises BIG EAST and Big 12 Women’s Tournament Finales
NEW YORK, NY – With the calendar having flipped to March, madness is in the air and on the FOX Sports family of networks. FOX Sports showcases three conference tournaments beginning this week with full coverage of the BIG EAST men’s and women’s and Big 12 women’s tournaments from Friday, March 3 through Saturday, March 11.
The BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament returns to Madison Square Garden for the 35th consecutive year, marking college basketball’s longest-running conference tournament held at the same venue. The championship game airs on the FOX broadcast network for the second straight season, Saturday, March 11, with coverage beginning at 5:00 PM ET. First-round, quarterfinal and semifinal action is televised on FS1 with FOX Sports’ comprehensive tournament coverage once again featuring on-site pregame, halftime and postgame coverage each day.
FS1’s lead college basketball game crew of Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery call BIG EAST Tournament first-round games on Wednesday, March 8, and evening quarterfinal matchups on Thursday, March 9, joined by sideline reporter Lisa Byington. Justin Kutcher, Jim Jackson and Steve Lavin have the afternoon games on Thursday, and Johnson, Jackson and Byington are courtside for the semifinals and championship game on Friday, March 10, and Saturday, March 11. Lavin is joined by Donny Marshall and host Rob Stone for studio coverage live from the “World’s Most Famous Arena” throughout the tournament. Nick Bahe also joins the studio on Thursday while Lavin calls games courtside.
FS1, FS2 and the BIG EAST Digital Network, available to all fans on FOX Sports GO, present full coverage of the entire BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Tournament, held Saturday, March 4 through Tuesday, March 7, at the Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee. First-round games can be seen on the BIG EAST Digital Network, via FOX Sports GO, while quarterfinals are televised on FS2, and the semifinals and final are on FS1. Byington calls play-by-play for the duration of the tournament alongside analyst LaChina Robinson.
The entire Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament, from Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena from Friday, March 3 through Monday, March 6, is televised across the FOX Sports family of networks. First-round games are available on FOX College Sports; quarterfinals are televised on FOX Sports Regional Networks; and the semifinals and championship game can be seen on FS1. Ron Thulin and Brenda VanLengen call the action, and Missy Heidrick reports from the sidelines.
College basketball games televised on the FOX broadcast network, FS1, FS2, FOX Sports Regional Networks and FOX College Sports are live-streamed on FOX Sports GO through participating pay-TV providers.
