Top Video Highlights and Quotes:
THE HERD WITH COLIN COWHERD
Michael Strahan on how he would feel playing for Bill Belichick:
“I think we’d get along great, to be honest with you. I would love to play for him. When it came to football, I was 100 percent in on winning. You want to win. I’m not out there to play every year and put my body through all the workouts in the offseason and the beatings during the season, not to win. What’s the point? So I think I would be very happy playing for him.”
Colin Cowherd feels the media has been insulting the Atlanta Falcons all week:
“Everybody’s talking about ‘Wow, what happens during the moment when Tom Brady gets that trophy from Roger Goodell?’ and I’m thinking the Atlanta Falcons are listening to that all week long. You do realize we are insulting the Atlanta Falcons every time we say that. You do realize their players, after they have practice, go to their hotels and turn on the TV to rest. And all week, the Atlanta Falcons are watching people like us say over and over ‘That’s going to be so weird when Brady gets the trophy from Roger Goodell.’ If you think that doesn’t reignite focus, you’re out of your mind.”
Dan Marino would rather keep his Hall of Fame jacket over a Super Bowl ring:
“No, I would not trade it. There’s a lot of guys that have played in the league, and won Super Bowls, but have only played for three or four years. For me to play for 17 years for the Dolphins, and the same community, it affected my life in a positive way. And to be an elite quarterback in the Hall of Fame is special. Obviously, you want to win a Super Bowl, and that’s the only feeling I really never had, is walking off Super Bowl Sunday night and not having that feeling that I was a champion. But I would not trade it.”

SPEAK FOR YOURSELF
When it comes to retirement, Cris Carter thinks Tom Brady should stay in the game for as long as possible:
“Tom Brady is sitting upright. He’s playing the best football of his life as he approaches 40. He should set the new standard. He should put this out there as far as it could be. To let people know that the argument is not ‘Who’s the best quarterback?’ The argument should be ‘Who is the second-best quarterback?’ when he gets two more Super Bowls. If you’ve got it, stay in the light.”
- Cris Carter: If Brady wins two more Super Bowls, the argument is not going to be who’s the best QB. It’s going to be who’s the second best.
- Michael Bennett: Don’t tell me you care about concussions when you play a guy on Sunday then tell him to run his head again on Thursday.
GARBAGE TIME WITH KATIE NOLAN
Peter Schrager wants Atlanta to embrace their current moment of success:
“This year Atlanta is having a moment. I’m not a hip hop fan, but they’ve got Gucci Mane and Future, and now you’ve got this team and a new stadium and it’s like a moment for Atlanta. Let’s not ignore it. Let’s just embrace it and enjoy it.”
Terry Bradshaw thinks young broadcasters need to prioritize genuineness over being “sports smart:”
“With young broadcasters, they come on and forget they’re talking to the viewer, and so they talk to the owners, the general managers, the players and they forget that the reason they are up here is that you’re more than qualified to be here. Your performance as a player has given you an opportunity and you can keep that going if you can learn to talk to the audience as if you’re talking to one of your great friends and explaining things. Not in a complicated manner, but in a common sense — not talked down, talked over, talked to — and if you do that, the chances are you’re going to have a successful career. Because the lens doesn’t lie. It will capture your genuineness through the lens and it can tell if you’re trying to be real smart. You’ve got to be able to talk to your audience and treat them as human beings.”
