FOX Sports’ Second Year of USGA Championship Coverage Concludes with 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship

New York – FOX Sports’ second season of USGA championship coverage reaches its finale this week at the 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship at Stonewall in Elverson, Pa., the 86th USGA championship contested in Pennsylvania and the third time FOX Sports and USGA return to the state this year. Semifinal and championship match coverage air on FS1, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 3:00 PM ET.

Stonewall features the Tom Doak-designed Old Course and North Course, which co-host opening rounds of stroke play before play moves exclusively to the Old Course for the round of 64 through semifinal matches. The U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship 36-hole final match will be contested across both courses, a first in USGA history.

Semifinal coverage airs Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM ET on FS1. Coverage of the championship match airs Thursday, Sept. 15 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM ET on FS1. FOX Sports GO live streams all U.S. Mid-Amateur coverage provided by FS1.

Play-by-play announcer Shane O’Donoghue is joined by eight-time PGA Tour winner and analyst Brad Faxon in the 18th Tower throughout the week. Steve Flesch, a four-time winner on the PGA Tour, and Buddy Marucci, a veteran of over 60 USGA championships, provide insights from the course. Also joining coverage is reporter Holly Sonders conducting post-round interviews.
