FOX NFL SUNDAY’s Michael Strahan Sits Down With New York Giants’ Jason Pierre-Paul

New York – On Thursday, FOX NFL SUNDAY’s Michael Strahan, a former New York Giants star defensive end and Pro Football Hall of Famer, sat down at the team’s training facility in East Rutherford, N.J., with current Giants pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul to discuss the Fourth of July fireworks accident that severely injured JPP’s right hand and jeopardized his standout NFL career. Excerpts from the interview, Pierre-Paul’s first of substance on television since the accident, air on FOX NFL KICKOFF (11:00 AM ET) and FOX NFL SUNDAY (12:00 PM ET), on Sunday, Dec. 20 before the Giants host the undefeated Carolina Panthers (1:00 PM ET) and look to keep their playoff hopes alive.

During the interview, Pierre-Paul describes to Strahan the scene of the accident; discusses the extent of his injuries; sets the record straight on inaccurately reported information; his reaction to the subsequent public ridicule; and the Giants’ chances for the playoffs as they sit in a three-way tie for first place in the NFC East with three games to play.
