ON THE COURSE
The winner of the 1996 PGA Championship, Mark Brooks has recorded 7 PGA Tour wins and 802 starts to date, spending the majority of his time on the Champions Tour. No stranger to golf’s biggest stages, Brooks has five career top-5 finishes in major championships, including a runner-up finish in the 2001 U.S. Open and his aforementioned PGA Championship. He played collegiate golf at the University of Texas-Austin and was a three-time All-American.
As he scaled back his tournament schedule, Brooks expanded into golf course design. He was formerly a partner at the Knott & Linn Golf Design Group and designed The Oak Course at Walnut Creek Country Club, as well as the Southern Oaks Golf Club in his hometown of Fort Worth, TX.
Brooks was born in Fort Worth, Texas.
