Former Liga MX goalie turned commentator, Raul Orvañanos is one of the most respected and honored television personalities of his generation. He joined FOX Deportes in 2006 as an analyst and host for multiple programs and currently serves as a commentator for the network’s leading soccer talk show, LA ÚLTIMA PALABRA, and hosts FOX GOL MEXICO. In addition, he is the director and host of La Formula es Deportes, a radio show available in Mexico and in the United States.
Orvañanos brings extensive experience to the network, covering 10 World Cups, the most of any commentator of his generation in Mexico, four UEFA Champions League finals and three Olympic Games.
Orvañanos began his career as a commentator with Imevision and went on to host CABLEDEPORTE for Cablevision (1991), AL DESPERTAR for Televisa (1992) and LA JUGADA (1993), which he also produced. In 2001, he developed Televisa’s SOLO DFUTBOL. He is the former official voice of the Mexican National soccer team.
