An attorney who is a top official with Jamaica's anti-doping disciplinary panel was sent on a leave of absence Tuesday following his arrest last month.
Lennox Gayle was arrested in mid-April after a raid at a massage parlor in the northern tourist town of Montego Bay.
Investigators with the police organized crime division claim he owns the parlor and that prostitution took place there. Seven women were arrested on prostitution charges following the raid.
Gayle is the vice chairman of the anti-doping disciplinary panel. A statement on Tuesday from the prime minister's office says Gayle will not be assigned to any hearing panel pending the conclusion of his court case.
