Tiger Camp Notebook: August 23

The Tigers had today off from practice as the first day of classes started.

Practice resumes with afternoon only practices starting tomorrow at 3:45pm.

Despite
it being and off day, there was some news as injured sophomore
linebacker Will Ebner was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of driving
while intoxicated according to local police reports.

The matter was reportedly addressed immediately and all disciplinary actions will be handled internally.

Ebner
has missed much of camp with a hamstring injury. On Saturday, head
coach Gary Pinkel said that he expected Ebner to be back and in action
at practice on Tuesday.

That is now in doubt due to this latest incident.

Coach Pinkel talked about getting quite a number of his injured players back on the field pretty soon.

“I
think we’ll get a lot of guys back on Tuesday,” said Coach Pinkel. 
“We’re just trying to err on the safe side here a little bit to try get
them healthy, so we can get them going on Tuesday. A lot of these guys
will be coming back in on Tuesday.”
