MILWAUKEE — Doug Davis returns to pitch in Miller Park wearing a Brewers jersey in the rubber game of the season-opening series against Colorado.  The last time Davis pitched for Milwaukee, he closed out the 2006 campaign with a record of 11-11.  He was traded in the offseason to Arizona in a six-player deal that sent catcher Johnny Estrada, pitchers Greg Aquino and Claudio Vargas to Milwaukee.  Vargas is now a Brewers teammate with Davis.

*Corey Hart out, Jim Edmonds back in right field for the lunchtime matinee.  Ken Macha gives catcher George Kottaras his first start of the season:

*The Jeff Suppan riddle has been answered.  On the disabled list to start the season with cervical disc pain in his neck, Suppan pitched a simulated game yesterday and will now make a minor league rehab start with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Friday.
