FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — After losing two of three on the road last week, the Northern Arizona volleyball team returns to Rolle Activity Center for its final two home matches of the season with a chance to clinch a berth in the Big Sky Tournament.
The Lumberjacks (17-8, 11-5 Big Sky) host Montana (12-13, 9-7) on Thursday night at 7 p.m. and Montana State (6-21, 4-12) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.. Thursday night’s game can be seen on FOX Sports Arizona Plus. They will be the final home games for graduating seniors Lexie Schroeder and Erin Truett. One more win will clinch a postseason berth for NAU, which is 9-2 at home this year.
“It’s important for us to finish our home season strong,” coach Ken Murphy said. We’ve been able to build confidence when we’ve been at home and that’s carried into our matches on the road. We’re looking for another opportunity to keep growing this week.”
NAU enters the week tied for third place in the Big Sky with Idaho State. Earlier this season on the road, the Lumberjacks defeated Montana but lost in five sets to Montana State.
