Looking Back At The 2009 Season – November’s Gauntlet

The Buckeyes entered November with a 7-2 record and would be facing their three toughest opponents.  Three wins were necessary to win the Big Ten.  Let’s re-experience the pressure again….

Ohio State at Penn State – November 7th, 2009

One year earlier, Penn State left Ohio Stadium with a big win over the Buckeyes, and their fans left with an infamous image of Terrelle Pryor on the sidelines with his head in his hands, slouching in defeat.  Pryor was born and raised in Pennsylvania and the Nittany Lion fans will likely never forgive him for his move to Columbus, an act often described at “traitorous”.

Pryor had a lot to prove in this game, and a loud Beaver Stadium crowd of 110,033 were excited to mock their favorite outcast.

The Buckeyes never gave them the chance.  Ohio State shut down the Lion offense and Pryor’s mobility was too much as the Buckeyes won the showdown going away, 24-7.
