2008 Triple Crown Sports Sparkler All-American Game
The All-American Game premieres on Tuesday, July 15th, 8pm EST on FCS Atlantic. It will feature color commentary from Mona Stevens, the Division-I coach for Utah, while Erin Bajackson will be dugout/bleacher reporter. The game is two hours in duration, airing exclusively on FCS. The girls playing in the event will be selected from the players competing in the Sparkler Tournament.
The Sparkler Tournament is the largest girls fast pitch tournament in the world, featuring 500 teams from 45 different states. It runs from June 30th to July 6th, and each night will have Showcase All-Star games, the best of whom are selected to play in the All-American Game. There will be over 1600 girls participating in the event. More than 350 college coaches attend the tournament to recruit, as most of the girls will go on to play Division-I softball. Last year, the 18 and under Mt Elbert Bracket was won by the Southern California Panthers from Newbury Park, Ca, with a perfect 11-0 record.
Make sure to watch on July 15th to see the best players from this enormous competition!
