If you're like me, then you probably think that all the tabloids that professional sports make with its referee scandals, player shootings and drug use gets really old really fast. It makes me miss the good and innocent college sports scene that disappears after the conclusion of the College World Series. We here at FCS know that the pure passion these scholar-athletes take to the field or court is the most exciting action seen all year, so we've created a summer scheduling program to help you remember the 2007-2008 sports season.

June: The Ice Kings

Throughout June, FCS has been airing some great hockey battles including four overtime games. Haven't caught the action yet? Don't worry there is still time to catch four more games before June ends!

July: Summer Madness

We dug deep into our archive of college basketball games and found the best and closest battles the basketball season had to offer. These games include a two-point victory by Virginia Tech over Wake Forest, an overtime victory by North Carolina over Clemson and a two-point game won by Florida State over Georgia Tech.

We also added in all the games from the first annual College Basketball Invitational, the Paradise Jam which took place in the beautiful Virgin Islands and a few games from the Pac-10 tournament.

These basketball games will be seen all July on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

August: Prime Time Saturdays

No matter what time of year it is, Saturdays mean college football to us. So this August we'll be playing some thrilling gridiron match-ups from the Pac-10, Big 12, Patriot League and more. Don't forget to check out our programming of the Gridiron Greats which features famous bowl games and other great rivalry match-ups. Our Gridiron Greats are not only included in our August schedule but can be seen throughout the summer.

So there you have it. Follow the FCS summer schedule and before you know it September is here and the college football season is back in action. We can't stop the pain of having such minimal college action during the summer, we can only nurse it until the summer defeats itself and the fall comes back into action.

Questions? Comments? Feel free to e-mail me, Trevor Arroyo, at Trevor.Arroyo@foxcollegesports.net if you have anything to say regarding our summer package. For a complete list of our games scheduled on any of these packages, send me an e-mail as well and I'll gladly send you one!
