One day after 15-year-old Trinity Gay, the daughter of Olympian Tyson Gay, was shot and killed outside a restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky, a group of thousands gathered to honor Gay with a candlelight vigil.

The vigil was held at the Lafayette High School track, where Gay competed as a runner. Tyson Gay spoke to the crowd and said he was proud of the Lexington community for supporting his family.

Three men - Chazerae Taylor, 38, D’Markeo Taylor, Dvonta Middlebrooks - were arrested and charged following the shooting, and all three pled not guilty.
