Olympic ice dancers White, Belbin engaged

Sochi Winter Olympics gold medalist Charlie White has found a partner for life. And no, it's not Meryl Davis.

Olympic ice dancer Charlie White has found a partner for life. 

And no, it's not Meryl Davis. 

The gold medal-winning figure skater took to his Instagram account while vacationing in Hawaii on Tuesday to announce his engagement to fellow ice dancer Tanith Belbin. 

"Couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting for the best time in our life!" the 26-year-old wrote. "Hashtag she said yes!!!"

White had been dating 29-year-old Belbin, a silver-medal ice dancing winner at the 2006 Turin Olympics with Ben Agosto, for about five years.  

Late last week, White and ice dancing partner Meryl Davis announced they were taking the 2014-15 figure skating season off after skating to ice dancing gold at the Sochi Winter Games.
