Swimmer Katie Ledecky made out like a bandit during this year's Rio Summer Olympics, winning four gold medals and one silver and gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated as one of the Games' biggest stars.

But rather than capitalize on her booming Olympic success, the 19-year-old has decided to go the full college student-athlete route, swimming for Stanford University as a freshman this year.

Which means that to stay NCAA eligible, Ledecky has to decline certain perks of being an Olympic star ... including the Oster waffle maker she won when she handily defeated American Ninja Warrior Grant McCartney in a rousing game of "Foot Flickers" on "The Ellen Show."

"I'm competing NCAA, so I can't really accept things," Ledecky quickly deferred.
