Yoshimi Ozaki was among three women named Monday to Japan's marathon squad for the London Olympics.

Ozaki, who finished second in Sunday's Nagoya women's marathon, will be joined in London by Osaka women's marathon winner Risa Shigemoto and Ryoko Kizaki, who won the Yokohama women's marathon.

Japan's men's marathon team will be made up of Arata Fujiwara, runner-up in the Tokyo marathon, as well as Ryo Yamamoto and Kentaro Nakamoto, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively, at the Lake Biwa marathon this month.

Japan will be bidding for its first gold medal in the marathon since Mizuki Noguchi won the women's event at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
