ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) -- AJ Pacher sank the game-winning layup just ahead of the buzzer Sunday as Wright State rallied late in the second half to defeat Oakland 72-71.
Trailing by 10 with barely 2 minutes to play, Wright State (15-13, 7-6 Horizon League) scored 13 of the next 15 points to take its first lead of the second half on a pair Cole Darling free throws that made it 70-69 with 21 seconds to go. Duke Mondy briefly put Oakland (10-18, 5-8) back on top with a pair of free throws, before Pacher drove inside at the other end for the winning layup.
Darling finished with 21 points, while Pacher scored 15 and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds for the Raiders, who shot 50 percent from the field.
