Andrew Wiggins is getting a somewhat rude welcome to the business side of the NBA, his name swirling in trade rumors less than a month after he was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

But Wiggins clearly isn't allowing all the talk to affect his performance with the Cavaliers' summer-league team in Las Vegas.

Wiggins scored 21 points on just five shots, his highest-scoring game of the summer, as the Cavs dropped a 96-90 decision to the Rockets in the opening round of tournament play Thursday.

The Cavs (3-1) play their final summer game Friday. They face the Heat in the consolation bracket.

Wiggins, a 6-foot-8 guard/forward, scored via strong drives to the basket and drawing fouls. He went 15-of-20 on free throws and 3-of-5 from the field. His name has been mentioned prominently in rumors involving Timberwolves star Kevin Love. Reports surfaced Thursday that the Cavs may be willing to include Wiggins in a trade for Love, but league sources told FOX Sports Ohio the Cavs strongly prefer not to trade Wiggins.

Point guard Will Cherry also scored 21 for the Cavs, and Anthony Bennett added 11 points and six rebounds. Cherry spent last season with the Cavs' D-League affiliate in Canton, while Bennett was the Cavs' No. 1 overall draft pick in 2013.

Isaiah Canaan scored a game-high 28 points for the Rockets.
