Report: Seahawks DC Quinn was interested in Browns job

CLEVELAND - The man whose defense just decimated the most prolific offense in NFL history did want to be the Browns' head coach.
That's according to a report by the National Football Post.
The Seahawks defensive coordinator was the first candidate the Browns spoke to about their open head coaching gig on Jan. 1, during the Seahawks' playoff bye week.
By NFL rules, the Browns were allowed to request a second interview with Quinn no later than Jan. 26. However, Quinn decided he would interview again only after the Seahawks played in the Super Bowl.
Browns CEO Joe Banner has made it clear passing up Quinn was not an easy decision.
At the very least, this disspells the notion that the Browns' head coaching job wasn't desireable or that none of the "hot candidates" wanted the position.
Only time will tell if the Browns made the right call.
