No one knows how to spell the Ohio State kicker's name

Ohio State kicker Sean Nuernberger is trying to make a name for himself. It's not going very well.

Ohio State kicker Sean Nuernberger is trying to make a name for himself.

It's not going very well.

The freshman kicker had a pretty solid showing in Saturday's spring game, drilling field goals from 36 and 42 yards away. Too bad he didn't get the credit he deserved, because no one can seem to get his name right.

Not only did Nuernberger's uniform have a typo, but the Big Ten network misspelled his name, too -- using a different variation, as seen in this tweet from Land-Grant Holy Land:

For the record, the correct spelling is N-U-E-R-N-B-E-R-G-E-R.

Ohio State signed Nuernberger to a full-ride scholarship but his spring performance has been underwhelming. He'll battle for the starting kicking position with walk-on Kyle Clinton.
