The Cleveland Browns made a handful of roster moves Wednesday, the day rookies and quarterbacks reported for training camp.

The Browns claimed undrafted rookie offensive lineman Abasi Salimu off waivers from the St. Louis Rams and waived three players: Defensive back Royce Adams, linebacker Brandon Magee and wide receiver Conner Vernon.

The team placed running back Terrance West, linebacker Tank Carder, offensive lineman Chris Faulk, defensive lineman Jacobbi McDaniel, offensive lineman Jeremiah Warren and defensive lineman Billy Winn on the active/non-football injured list. Those players still count against the 90-man training camp roster list and can be activated at any time.

West, a third-round pick who’s expected to compete for the starting running back job, later tweeted that he’s "healthy and ready to go, no worries," and wrote that he passed his conditioning test.

Also Wednesday, the Browns signed first-round pick Justin Gilbert.

The full team reports Friday and the first training camp practice is Saturday.
