Cavaliers Guard Kyrie Irving was examined and re-evaluated Sunday afternoon by Cavaliers Head Team Physician Dr. Richard Parker. As a result of the exam and his continued recovery from the strained tendon in his left biceps experienced during the Cavaliers game on March 16th in Los Angeles against the Clippers, Irving has been cleared to resume full contact practice with the team. His game status for the Cavaliers upcoming trip to Orlando and Atlanta this week has not been determined and will be updated as appropriate as he continues his progression back to play.

Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao left last night’s game at The Q vs. the Indiana Pacers near the end of the second quarter with a right shoulder injury. An MRI and further evaluation today at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health by Cavaliers Head Team Physician Dr. Richard Parker and Dr. Mark Schickendantz determined he has a right AC joint sprain. Varejao is listed as Out for the Orlando game and his game status beyond that will be updated as appropriate.
