FOX Sports Ohio and Columbus Blue Jackets Announce 2014-15 Telecast Schedule

FOX Sports Ohio to televise 81 Blue Jackets games with a special one-hour Blue Jackets Live pre-game show prior to home opener on Oct. 11th

COLUMBUS, OHIO — FOX Sports Ohio and the Columbus Blue Jackets announced today the 2014-15 telecast schedule. The network will carry 81 regular season games.

FOX Sports Ohio’s Emmy award winning coverage of the Columbus Blue Jackets begins on Thursday, October 9th when the club opens the 2014-15 season in Buffalo with a 7pm match-up against the Sabres.

Of the Blue Jackets’ complete 82-game schedule, FOX Sports Ohio will NOT be able to televise the following game due to NBC Sports Network exclusivity:

– Thursday, February 19 vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins

Coverage each game night will begin with Blue Jackets Live pre-game show featuring highlights, player interviews and analysis 30 minutes prior to each game.

On the night of the Home Opener, Saturday, October 11th, when the Jackets host the New York Rangers at Nationwide Arena, FOX Sports Ohio will feature a one-hour Blue Jackets Live pre-game show.

Immediately following the final horn, the coverage will continue with the post-game edition of Blue Jackets Live, presented by IGS Energy.

In addition, FOX Sports Ohio will provide reports leading up to and throughout the 2015 NHL All-Star Celebration, which is coming to Columbus in January 2015.

As previously announced, former Blue Jackets forward Jody Shelley will be the color analyst alongside play-by-play announcer Jeff Rimer. Bill Davidge will assume the role of studio analyst and host during the pre- and post-game editions of Blue Jackets Live and will contribute during intermissions. Davidge will be joined at the studio desk by second-year host Brian Giesenschlag. Dave Maetzold also returns as in-game reporter.
