Dayton defeats La Salle 65-53

Dayton hit 41.4 percent from the field, 84.7 percent from the line and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc.
La Salle went 17-7 to start but faded late in the first, allowing Dayton to finish the first half on a 20-4 run and lead 27-21 at the break.
The Explorers closed the gap to two points midway in the second half before Dayton pulled well ahead again on a 14-7 run -- capped by a Sibert 3 and a Devon Scott dunk -- to lead 54-45 with 6:17 left to play.
Jerrell Wright led the Explorers (12-13, 4-7) with 15 points and five rebounds.
