Blue Jackets announce 2015 preseason schedule

The Blue Jackets will be back on the ice in preseason action beginning in September.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets will play an eight-game preseason schedule, including four home games at Nationwide Arena, prior to their 15th National Hockey League season, the club announced today. Columbus will play a home and road game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators, while hosting the Minnesota Wild and visiting the Buffalo Sabres.

The Blue Jackets open preseason play on Monday, September 21 against Pittsburgh in a battle of Metropolitan Division rivals. Game time is 7 p.m. at Nationwide Arena. The following night, the club will meet former division rival St. Louis in a pair of split squad games. The teams will meet at 7 p.m. ET at Nationwide Arena in Columbus and at 8 p.m. ET at Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Home games vs. Minnesota on Thursday, September 24 and Nashville on Saturday, October 3 bookend road contests at Pittsburgh on September 26, Nashville on September 29 and Buffalo on October 2 to round out the schedule.
