Former Browns and 49ers quarterback Colt McCoy is heading to D.C.

McCoy has signed a deal with the Washington Redskins. The team tweeted the news Thursday morning.

A dollar figure has not yet been released.

McCoy started 21 games for the Browns in the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

He went to San Francisco last season where he served as backup to Colin Kaepernick. Now, McCoy will presumably fall third on the depth chart for the Redskins behind Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins.
