Top prospect Lindor among latest round of Indians roster cuts

For Indians fans anxiously awaiting the major-league debut of top prospect Francisco Lindor, they’ll have to wait a little longer.

The 21-year-old shortstop was one of seven players re-assigned to minor-league camp, the team announced Thursday.

Lindor, who is batting .297 with two home runs, three doubles and a triple ini 16 games so far this spring, is expected to break camp with Triple-A Columbus where he will continue to develop his offense.

Other players re-assigned include infielder Audy Ciriaco, outfielder Destin Hood, catcher Adam Moore, left-hander Michael Roth and right-handers Dustin Molleken and Bryan Price.

The Indians also optioned right-handed reliever C.C. Lee to Triple-A Columbus.

The Indians major-league spring training roster now stands at 40.
