Cincinnati ends spring practice under Tuberville

CINCINNATI (AP) -- New coach Tommy Tuberville watched his Bearcats finish their final spring workout, walked over to the sideline and gave his assessment of the practice.
"Well, they're all boring, they're all about the same," he said. "Kind of like watching paint dry."
His predecessor would never have said anything like that.
Tuberville takes over for Butch Jones, who left for Tennessee after last season. He has a much different style than Jones, who made his voice heard during practices by talking into a microphone.
Tuberville is bringing a different approach to the playbook as well. The Bearcats return most of the linemen from a team that won a share of the Big East last season. Tuberville is trying to develop a style that's more physical than finesse.
