Cincinnati football announced a future home-and-home series with Indiana on Wednesday.
The Bearcats will make the 126-mile trip to Bloomington to face the Hoosiers on Sept. 18, 2021, then play host to the rematch a year later at Nippert Stadium.
Indiana leads the series, which started in 1896, by a 9-3-2 count, and the Hoosiers have won the last five. Cincinnati’s last victory over Indiana was a 21-0 triumph in Bloomington in 1957.
The Bearcats, who play at Ohio State this season and have a future home-and-home series scheduled with Nebraska, are 18-51-3 all-time against current members of the Big Ten. That includes an 8-9-1 mark against new member Rutgers, a former Big East/AAC rival of UC.
Cincinnati split a pair against Big Ten teams last season, topping Purdue 42-7 to open the season before a surprising 45-17 blowout loss at Illinois. The Bearcats ripped Rutgers 52-17 in Piscataway en route to a 9-4 campaign that included a 6-2 mark in the inaugural season of the AAC.
