Brandon Phillips’ adorable 2-year-old son steals the show

Look out Riley Curry, there’s a new kid in town stealing the spotlight from their dad and his name is Micah Phillips.

Cincinnati Reds‘ second baseman Brandon Phillips brought 2-year-old Micah out to batting practice on Monday before a series with the Dodgers. Wearing his own uniform and baseball helmet, Micah proved the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

With Phillips on the mound, Micah stole our hearts with a hit just over Dad’s head. On the next swing, Micah proved to be a versatile player with a bunt that almost sent him to first base. On his way down the baseline, his speed caught up with him and he fell just before reaching the bag.

Micah made another cameo Wednesday night when he was seen cheering on dad from the stands. The little guy intently watched Phillips and the Reds in the final game with the Dodgers.

In the bottom of the fourth, Phillips sent a base hit off of Kazmir to right center field that left Micah applauding. while saying, "Let’s go daddy!"

There’s no doubt that little Micah will be on the radar for little league teams everywhere.
