Irving was able to take some contact during Tuesday's workout, his first since straining a biceps tendon on March 16 against the Los Angeles Lakers. Irving, who missed eight games with the injury, does not know if he'll play Wednesday night at Orlando.
Cleveland is just three games out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Irving said a decision whether he'll play will not be made until after the pregame shootaround, when he consults with the club's medical staff.
The Cavs went 4-4 without their leading scorer.
While the Cavs are getting Irving back, they'll be without forward Anderson Varejao, who sprained his shoulder Sunday against Indiana.
