The Canton Charge will hold an open tryout for interested players Sept. 20 at Canton McKinley Memorial Fieldhouse, team officials announced Wednesday.

The Charge are the NBA D-League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"With as much player evaluating we do on a constant basis throughout all levels of basketball around the world, there's always talent out there we still might not be aware of," said Mike Gansey, Cavs director of D-League operations. "These tryouts give an opportunity for some of those diamonds in the rough take the next step in their own careers and help out our team."

The tryout will feature two sessions -- the first from 10 a.m.-noon, followed by one from 4-6 p.m. All Charge hopefuls must be available to participate in both sessions.

Registration fee is $150 per player by Sept. 19, or $200 per player on the day of the tryouts.
