The Browns have selected Gilbert with the eighth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft after trading with both the Bills and Vikings for the pick.

Gilber, 6 feet tall, 202 lbs., ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and brings dynamic speed to the gridiron. A phenomenal athlete, Gilbert led the Big 12 in interceptions with seven in 2013, including two returned for touchdowns. During his time in Stillwater, Gilbert returned six kickoffs for touchdowns one shy of the NCAA career record.

With Joe Haden opposite him, Gilbert should add another shut down corner to the Browns defense.

The Browns will next pick at No. 26 in the first round.
