Blue Jackets' Horton to miss 6 weeks after surgery

The Blue Jackets' Nathan Horton will most likely not get a chance to be part of the team's playoff run.

Nathan Horton isn't sure how the condition of his shoulder will effect his play but wants to get back on the ice as the Blue Jackets continue their playoff push.

The Blue Jackets' Nathan Horton will not join the team on the ice as they finish the regular season and begin their playoff run.

Horton had surgery to fix an abdominal injury Friday morning and is expected be out about six weeks, the Blue Jackets said.

The 28-year-old forward who signed with the Jackets in July of 2013 has been hindered by injuries, playing just 36 games this season.

Columbus will look to improve its playoff standing as it takes on Tampa Bay Friday night at 7:30 p.m. FOX Sports Ohio overage begins at 7 p.m. with Blue Jackets Live pregame.
