EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.– The Minnesota Vikings added a bit of defensive line depth on Tuesday by signing defensive end Spencer Nealy, according to the team’s official Twitter account.
Nealy, an undrafted rookie out of Texas A&M, spent time this summer with the Detroit Lions but was released on Aug. 1. Nealy was listed by Detroit at 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds. He’s played both defensive end and tackle, and Minnesota classified him as a defensive end.
Nealy had 42 tackles, 7 1/2 tackles for loss and two sacks last season for Texas A&M.
