MINNEAPOLIS — The
Minnesota Twins made a few roster moves after Wednesday's game, optioning pitchers Jeff Manship and Luis Perdomo to Triple-A Rochester.
Minnesota will activate right-hander
Anthony Swarzak from the 15-day disabled list and will make one more corresponding roster move before Friday's game in Seattle. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said the corresponding move will be to bring a position player up from Rochester, giving Minnesota another option off the bench.
Swarzak was on the DL with a mild rotator cuff strain in his right shoulder. He last pitched on July 24 against Chicago. In 31 appearances this season (69 innings), Swarzak has a 4.43 ERA with 46 strikeouts and 19 walks.
Manship pitched in Wednesday's game against Detroit, throwing three scoreless innings while striking out two. He lowered his ERA to 7.89 on the season. Perdomo appeared in just five games for the Twins, giving up three runs (one earned) in six innings of relief.
