News: Simmonds netted a power-play goal in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Devils.
Impact: Despite missing seven games last season, Simmonds still managed 50 points, the second-highest total of his career. Owners should expect more of the same from the tough winger this season.

News: Simmonds' left leg, which he fractured in March, is now 100 percent healthy, NHL.com's Adam Kimelman reports.
Impact: It isn't a huge surprise, as initial reports in March stated that the fractured leg would only require four weeks of rehab. Nevertheless, it's nice to hear that the veteran winger's leg is now 100 percent healthy. Simmonds should be able to participate in Philadelphia's upcoming training camp without limitation.
