Nail Yakupov - #10 - Right Wing - 5'11" - 184lbs
Sat. Sep 13, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Yakupov will wear number 10 this coming season instead of 64, the number he broke into the league with, reports the Edmonton Sun.
Impact: Shawn Horcoff wore number 10 last season, but said Yakupov could take it this season. Yakupov is looking to change things up this season and shake off a horrible sophomore season (24 points in 63 games and a minus-33 rating). He grew up wearing 10 and hey -- it's not like hockey players are superstitious or anything. His game will improve this season, but it won't be because of the number.
Leon Draisaitl - #95 - Center - 6'2" - 204lbs
Thu. Sep 11, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Draisaitl has spent his summer bulking up, according to the Edmonton Journal.
Impact: Edmonton's first round pick in this past June's draft has his sights set on making the team and realizes to do so he needed to add size and strength. Well he has done so as he now checks in at six-foot-two and 215 pounds. One of the reasons the Oilers were so high on Draisaitl was because they wanted some bigger talented players. If he has a good camp he could end up as the second line center to start the season.
Luke Gazdic - #20 - Left Wing - 6'3" - 240lbs
Wed. Sep 10, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Gazdic (shoulder) has begun skating but is not yet ready for contact, according to the Edmonton Journal.
Impact: Gazdic's only value in fantasy leagues is his willingness to drop the gloves. He was tied for third in the league last season with 15 fights and has quickly become one of the more feared heavyweights in the game. He is expected to be ready to play at some point during training camp.
David Perron - #57 - Left Wing - 6'0" - 205lbs
Mon. Sep 8, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Perron still isn't fully recovered from the hip injury he suffered last season, according to the Oilers' official site.
Impact: Perron admitted Monday that he has had to deal with the injury all summer and it has changed how he would normally prepare for a season. He hasn't been able to do as much lower-body work as he would like, but still expects to be ready for the start of training camp.
