News: Negotiations between Johansen and the Blue Jackets have started up again after Johansen's agent proposed a two-year deal to the club, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Impact: This is a big step, as the length of a new contract was the biggest stumbling block between the two sides. The actual dollar amount will still be an issue, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Johansen back in a Jackets sweater by the end of the week.

Impact: Given that this is a one-way deal, it's a very clear sign that Erixon will begin the season on the Blue Jackets' roster. The 23-year-old defenseman notched five goals, 33 assists and 16 penalty minutes in 40 games for the AHL's Springfield Falcons. He also appeared in two games for Columbus, tallying one hit and one shot on goal in 28:41 of ice time.

Impact: The 28-year-old Dubinsky, acquired two years ago in the blockbuster deal with the New York Rangers for Rick Nash, has scored 18 goals with 52 assists with a +7 plus/minus rating in 105 games the past two seasons. Impact: Dubinsky had a career-best season in 2013-14 for the Jackets, scoring 16 goals and adding a career-high 34 helpers. The 28-year-old will earn approximately $5.85 million per season, and the deal will keep him under contract with the club through 2020-21. Although he had a minor ankle procedure this offseason, the center is expected to be ready for the beginning of the 2014-15 campaign.
