News: Cundari signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Flames on Saturday, the Calgary Herald reports.
Impact: Cundari only made four appearances with the Flames in 2013-14, failing to record a single point. He'll once again serve as organizational depth at defenseman, and could get another chance in the pros if Calgary has injury issues at any point.

News: Colborne signed a two-year contract to remain with the Flames on Tuesday.
Impact: Colborne enjoyed his first full NHL campaign with Calgary last season, recording 10 goals and 18 assists in 80 games. The center, who was acquired from Toronto last September, offers modest fantasy value at the moment, but was once upon a time (that is, 2008) the No. 16 overall pick.

News: Although the Flames have signed Jonas Hiller, Ramo is still in the running for the starting goaltender spot, the Calgary Sun reports.
Impact: Ramo struggled to begin 2013-14 but finished strong, and the Flames brought Hiller in to figure out which Ramo they'll see in 2014-15. Ramo is less proven than Hiller, but still has a lot of potential and could certainly capture the starting spot.

News: Hiller underwent a minor procedure to address appendicitis and is expected to make a quick recovery, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports.
Impact: Hiller, who agreed to a two-year, $9 million contract at the beginning of the month, should make a full recovery well before the beginning of training camp. He can still be expected to compete against Karri Ramo for playing time between the pipes.
